Accreditation Office for Standards Conformity Assessment Capacity (AOSC)

Accreditation Office for Standards Conformity Assessment Capacity (AOSC) is a third-party accreditation body in Vietnam established under the Decision 97/2009/QĐ-TTg issued on 24th July 2009 by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, operating in the trend of promoting society participation in science and technology activities. AOSC’s establishment reflects the integration at a high level of Vietnam into the international community, partly showing that Vietnam has complied with the TBT(Technical Barriers to Trade) Agreement with the role of a member of the WTO.

      AOSC does not provide any accreditation services for both certification (including QMS, FSMS, PRODUCT in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021:2011; TS 22003:2007; ISO/IEC Guide 65:1996 and IAF Guidence G65) and  inspection bodies but,  accreditation services for testing laboratories according to ISO / IEC 17025:2005 standard (except VinaCert) with Recognition Code: VLAT and medical laboratories according to ISO 15189:2007 standard with Recognition Code : VITES)
      AOSC has fully implemented its quality management system following ISO 17011 and is completing the necessary procedures for  being accreditatied by regional and international accreditation bodies  so that testing laboratories and medical laboratories accredited by AOSC  are facilitated to participate the bidding process for international projects.
      On the other hand, recognizing the difficulties of testing and medical laboratories, AOSC is proceeding many essential steps to be accredited according to ISO 17043 in order to provide proficiency testing programs in the fields of: animal and vegetable epidemics, food safety and hygiene, medical tests.
