Notification on regulations on the usage of ILAC, APLAC logo

      The Accreditation Office for Standards Conformity Assessment Capacity (AOSC) sends its best regards.
In July, 2016,  AOSC received two documents from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) notifying a particular case that a calibration laboratory misuses ILAC/ APLAC logo on its calibration certificate.
      In order to ensure that the usage of ILAC, APLAC, AOSC logo complies with the relevant regulations of these organizations, AOSC would like to call intention for the following information:
-   It is not permitted to use ILAC/ APLAC logo on calibration certificates and/or test reports in all cases.
-  Before attempting to use ILAC/ APLAC/ AOSC logo, please re-consider the relevant regulations (ILAC R4:05/2015 from ILAC, SEC 046 from APLAC, GR-01 and GR-02 from AOSC). In case of doubt, please contact the relevant organizations for permission/ consultancy before usage.
    To conclude, it is advised that you thoroughly examine the relevant regulations before usage of ILAC/ APLAC/ AOSC logo to avoid cases of misuse.
     Any cases of intentional misuse of ILAC/ APLAC/ AOSC logo shall face penalty from AOSC including, but not limited to warning, accreditation suspension or accreditation withdrawal.
